        Congratulations to the exceptional men and women who competed on our behalves in the recent 2020 Summer Olympics. My youngest son who has adopted some American values in the last 20 years, doesn’t think much of Canadians who rejoice in personal bests at contests like the Olympics. But I think that running faster, jumping higher than I have ever been capable of doing in my life before is worthy of praise.

However being able to do it best against the best athletes the world has to offer is extra special. Hence the value of Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.      Continue reading

GUYANA: US$35M mega agro-processing facility to be constructed at Enmore

The Government of Guyana through the Guyana Office for Investment has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with Caribbean International Distributors Inc., a member of the Rudisa Group of Companies for the development of a landmark US$35 million agro-processing facility.

The facility is expected to engage in the production and packaging of various products ranging from: milk, natural fruit juices and water to a variety of bread products such as hamburgers rolls, biscuits, cookies, croissants, bagels and donuts to supply Guyana’s local and export markets.

COVID-19: Canada to require train, plane and ship travellers carry proof of vaccination

Soon travellers on interprovincial trains in Canada will need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 before boarding.

The new rule was handed down in the wake of the announcement that Canada would be getting a standardized vaccine passport.

Transport Minister Omar Alghabra announced that travellers on commercial air travellers and passengers on interprovincial trains and large marine vessels with overnight accommodations (such as cruise ships) must be vaccinated.        Continue reading
