The Duke of Edinburgh has been laid to rest in an intimate funeral at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The Dean of Windsor paid tribute to Prince Philip’s “kindness, humour and humanity” during the ceremony.

The congregation wore masks and was socially distanced in line with Covid rules, with the Queen seated alone.

The duke’s children walked behind his coffin in a funeral procession, followed by a national minute’s silence.    Continue reading

TIMEHRI, Guyana (Thursday, April 14, 2021) — A new signature landmark, a 20-foot “Welcome to Guyana” sign, has been erected, at the roundabout, near the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).

The project — which also includes the placement of 100 hanging flower baskets on the light posts, from the Timheri junction to the site — forms part of the First Lady’s National Beautification Project.          Continue reading
