Again and yet again, one does not need to be reminded of the race issue that is front and center of the news in America, or what has become a way of life. Protests, demonstrations, marches, petitions, kneels, lie-ins etc. are just some of the actions that have been taken on the path to awareness and possible change. Change especially as it refers to Blacks in America, and according to the 45th, a change towards making America great again. America as we see it today, with Blacks being so severely disadvantaged on all levels did not occur haphazardly, but was carefully orchestrated at all levels of government. President Nicolás Maduro says ‘thank God’ for dollarization in Venezuela
CARACAS, (Reuters) – Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro embraced the currency of his bitter rival the United States yesterday, calling it an “escape valve” that can help the country weather its economic crisis amid U.S. sanctions aimed at forcing him from power.
The official currency, the bolivar, has depreciated more than 90% this year, while hyperinflation in the first nine months of the year clocked in at 4,680%, according to the central bank.
The inflationary spiral has slashed the purchasing power of the South American country’s minimum wage, which together with food assistance, is equivalent to about $10 per month. Continue reading

Two years in, some people are still expecting one of his scandals to bring him down. I know better.
If you’ve watched the past three-plus years of the Donald Trump circus looking for some glimmer of hope he’ll get owned, some sign he’ll finally be proven to be an amoral con man and a fraud, I am here to disabuse you of that notion.
Because no one with power or authority seems to understand how to deal with Trump’s unique brand of asshole behaviour, it’s not likely he’ll ever be checked until the next election – if then.
