GUYANA: Preparing Guyanese youth for 21st century economic development | OilNow

By Wilberne Persaud – OilNOW. –oilnow.gy

In my April 2020 commentary: “GUYANA | Workable, Transparent Gov’t Policy Needed for Oil and Gas Investment” an important bullet point read: “Guyana has but one limited, time-bound chance, to make oil and gas its pathway to sustainable development with environmental and human development equity.

Few thoughtful human beings now dispute the notion of a short time window to combat global warming with any hope of success. Confirmation arrived with the recently released Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report.

Alarmingly, it concludes that many changes in the climate are “… unprecedented in thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years, and some of the changes already set in motion — such as continued sea level rise — are irreversible over hundreds to thousands of years.”

I was hoping for more focus on Agriculture. Rightly stated, Guyana did benefit from mineral extraction, but it is well know, that is a closing window. How I see Guyana, in a more fundamental way, would be Location, Language, with higher than average intelligence population. More emphasis on technical and trade skills, backbone for development in all present and new types of Industry, and hopefully remove the stigma associated. I have actually spent time in countries where good trade persons are valued more than some engineers.
Successful farmers in developed countries, work hard but well compensated, and this is true even in Guyana. It would seem that farming is DNA engrained, hint, Caribbean countries starting farming….in Guyana.
Just me…Guyana named “plenty water”, actually has plenty water, deep in the upper Essequibo, crystal clear!…Many Caribbean countries always short of good clean water…one day maybe someone will connect the dots.
Oh Dear Land of Guyana..so great so close, almost there.

Preparing Guyanese youths for the twenty first century????? By poisoning them with experimental jabs without their informed consent while breaking the Nuremberg codes pertaining to experimental drugs and vaccines which carries the death penalty, and not informing them of their rights to a compensation package in the event of bodily harm or death resulting from these experimental jabs????? I wonder if the idiots who are involved in promoting the agenda of the evil deep state psychopaths and parasites are prepared to face the consequences of their ignorant and unqualified actions against humanity ! Time will surely give the answer. My only hope for our young people who were forced to take the jabs is that Lifeforce Enforcement was able to neutralize the batch of the so-called vaccines before they entered the country. Sorry to say this, but anyone who has experienced severe side effects of these jabs will be returning to Source within the next five years if a potent antidote is not administered in time. You have been warned!

@Chris: This is absolutely rubbish and a bunch of hogwash. I do now know what you are talking about! The approved SARS-CoV2 vaccines for juveniles have undergone clinical trials, where they were shown to be safe and effective.

You are just misusing the GO platform to spread fake news. You are trying to scare people with your outrageous claims and you fail to provide objective evidence underlying your points. In my opinion, you are exercising irresponsible behaviour that can cause other peoples lives. Are you planing to take responsibility for those unfortunates, who follow your advise not to vaccinate, and happen to come down with covid?

Sorry! Your ignorance is so glaring it’s embarrassing to say the least. You seem to have a lack of comprehension skills too. So I won’t even bother to respond to your comment other than to say that there are millions of people working behind the scenes, risking their lives to bring an end to this Covid bs.
You made your point and I respect your opinions. The truth always wins in the end.
