GUYANA: Persons without FDA-approved jabs can now access approved COVID-19 vaccine – US CDC

Government’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign using the Russian Sputnik V vaccine has not been approved by the WHO or the FDA.

Sep 21, 2021- Kaieteur News – In its most recent recommendations, the United States’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that “people who received all or some of the recommended doses of a COVID-19 vaccine not listed for emergency use by WHO (World Health Organisation) and not authorised by FDA (US. Food and Drugs Administration) may be offered a complete FDA authorised COVID-19 vaccine series.”

The recommendation also states that persons should wait at least 28 days after being administered the last dose of the non-authorised vaccine before being administered the FDA-authorised vaccine.  (Note – The Russian Sputnik V Vaccine is a non-authorized vaccine. It has been the most widely distributed vaccine in Guyana, purchased by the Government for millions of US dollars)        Continue reading

“Knives for Roger Harper and his hallucinating band of selectors, aren’t yet drawn. But surely, they are being sharpened!”

Those were the words of the seasoned Jamaican cricket journalist Ray Ford, in reaction to the storm of controversy that has been created as a result of the choices made by Selections’ Chair Roger Harper and his Panel for the West Indies official squad of 15 plus four reserves to participate in the forthcoming ICC 2021 T20 World Cup. Canada, a commonwealth country, has a service based economy, based on the principle of “Peace, Order, and Good Government. Canada is not a socialist country. It is a capitalistic economy. A mixture of capitalism and minimum state regulation, instead of a mixture of capitalism and socialism. 

Canada, just like many developed nations, followed a sequence of transitioning from a raw-material-based economy to a manufacturing-based economy, and finally transitioning again to a service-based economy. Ranked among the top ten countries on Economic Freedom Index, the Canadian economy has some resemblance with the Australian economy.        Continue reading
