The Utilization of Western NGOs for the Theft of Africa’s Vast Resources
TED-x- Berlin – Excerpt from Talk by Mallence Bart Williams
The following in an excerpt from a lecture given by Mallence Bart Williams in 2015 (TEDxBerlin). “One thing that keeps me puzzled, despite having studied finance and economics at the world’s best universities, the following question remains unanswered. Why is it that 5,000 units of our currency is worth one unit of your currency where we are the ones with the actual gold reserves? It’s quite evident that the aid is in fact not coming from the West to Africa but from Africa to the Western world.
The Western world depends on Africa in every possible way since alternative resources are scarce out here. So how does the West ensure that the free aid keeps coming? By systematically destabilizing the wealthiest African nations and their systems, and all that backed by huge PR campaigns — leaving the entire world under the impression that Africa is poor and dying and merely surviving on the mercy of the West.

How else is Mrs. Karen and Mr. John going to pay for their multi-million dollar mansions in America if corrupt American companies stop robbing the third world of their resources and creating poverty?
Do Chinese or Russian companies do a better job at robbing natural resources?Guyana has had its fair share of experiences over the last years….. The Russian owners of the bauxite mines have not left much for the local people. Regarding the Chinese, we just need to have a look at the CJIA expansion project and its execution.
At least Exxon’s activities are having a big impact on Guyana with regard to infrastructural upgrades, training of people, knowhow transfer, etc.
P.S. What about the greed of the local elites in African? Ms. Williams makes it to easy for herself to lay the blame squarely at the West. We are talking about sovereign states in Africa that have entertained independence for 50 years plus.
