Dictionary of Guyanese Biography – 1984
By: Arthur and Elma Seymour – Published in 1984. (117 pages)
“The completion and production of the Dictionary of Guyanese Biography (DGB) constitutes, I could see, a continuance and logical extension of the literary and cultural work on which I have been engaged over the past 40 years.
In the first place the DGB is a collection of biographies laying emphasis upon the lives of Guyanese and others who have helped to build the modern Guyana and so it is a variation of biography and autobiography.
In the second place, the DGB represents a personal identification and selection of some of the main characters in Guyanese history, to give the Guyanese people a sense of pride in the work of the characters of the past, in a way reminiscent of the activities of the Union of Cultural Clubs.” (From the Introduction pages 2-3)

Sorry unable to read articles on my tablet….print much much too minute…
Will try on bigger screen see if eligible
Kamptan would love to read….
If you click on the page it enlarges and you can read.
It would be interesting read if it were legible. Will not allow me to enlarge.
Technological ‘hang-up’….
Maybe my tablet has facility for enlarging print….back to my Google nexus tablet hand book….usually by double touching screen….but even that enlarging is not sufficient…
Maybe it should be re-sent to Guyanese on line for expanding….
