Statistics About The Drugging Of America That Are Almost Too Crazy To Believe

The American people are the most drugged people in the history of the planet. Illegal drugs get most of the headlines, but the truth is that the number of Americans that are addicted to legal drugs is far greater than the number of Americans that are addicted to illegal drugs.

As you will see below, close to 70 percent of all Americans are currently on at least one prescription drug. In addition, there are 60 million Americans that “abuse alcohol” and 22 million Americans that use illegal drugs. What that means is that almost everyone that you meet is going to be on something. That sounds absolutely crazy but it is true.
We are literally being drugged out of our minds. In fact, as you will read about below, there are 70 million Americans that are taking “mind-altering drugs” right now.
If it seems like most people cannot think clearly these days, it is because they can’t. We love our legal drugs and it is getting worse with each passing year. And considering the fact that big corporations are making tens of billions of dollars peddling their drugs to the rest of us, don’t expect things to change any time soon. The following are 19 statistics about the drugging of America that are almost too crazy to believe…

Americans are probably the “least informed” on the planet….hopefully
“Social media” will change all that…it has something to do with its
“Size” ….too big to be informed.
China and India is fraction in land mass yet 5 + times as populated.
    Demographics !

Clyde thanks the “stats” on demographics….
Interesting statistics which one can “read” so much into…..with
    different conclusions…..prognosis predictions etc

Politically is where the answers become predictable.
Religiously is where the answers become unpredictable.
Economically is where the answers become fact.

YEP! And most have the utmost gall to tell other countries how to run their county and raise their kids.

Howard Zinn, an American whom I greatly admire, wrote that American education is designed for us to know just enough to function but not enough for us to realize that we don’t know much. The result? A belligerent, hubristic and ignorant people.

YEP! America is a nation of functioning drug addicts who are clueless to what’s going on. And to ensure that they remain that way, here comes legalize marijuana added to the mix to keep them drugged up and happily disconnected…all empires/dictatorships do fall eventually…don’t they?

Quite a mouthful of America. While I don’t doubt much of what writers above has said about America, it is not the full picture. America is much more complicated. Lets look at the other side of the coin. Educators who should know said of the top 20 universities on the planet about 15 are in the U.S. and they are above the others by far. Wealthy foreign parents (in India China, the Middle East etc) who seek to get the best in science and technology for their children, send them to the top American universities. I would accept that America has some of the worst Universities possible but it also has the best. The university graduate level technological resources have no parallel. When I was a teenager in Guyana, a school master who visited America, returned and told us a man’s education in America was that of a boy in Guyana. I am now of the opinion he spent his vacation in a U.S. ghetto or poor minority community. If he had visited some of the suburban communities in the U.S. he would have seen a completely different side of the American high school system. When one get to truly know and understand the American educational system he learns that a good American education teaches one to “think” in terms of the real world.
I strayed from my original intention which was to respond to the drug issue. Much, if not all that was said is true, but here again its not the full picture. If one can afford it, or has the right medical insurance, this capitalist market system would provide the best medical service on the planet. Many an old or sickly individual, who would otherwise be in his or her grave, is kept alive thanks to U.S. medical science. Some of the most incredible medication and treatment for the worst human diseases known to mankind, are been developed in the US and should be fully out within the next 10 years. Give an example on the technology to cure many forms of cancer. Some biotech pharmaceutical companies have developed the process of extracting the immune cells (these are cells in our body that fight harmful foreign invaders) from a cancer patient, reprogramming and replicating the cells, then placing them back into the patient system to attack the cancer cells. Unlike the current treatment of cancer with chemo and radiation which kills both good and bad cells, these new methodology tends to neutralize the mechanisms in the human body on which the cancer cells need for growth and replicate. The scientist report their should be minimal side affect since it is the patients whose cells are programmed and reinserted. There are literally thousands of these medical processes in development to make a difference to mankind. Which other part of the world could make such claims. Obviously these developments in medical science are expensive and are motivated by a desire to make profits, so that only those who can afford will benefit (Obamacare aside), but with the evil there are also much good.

America the land of the free and brave….indeed a country built by economic migrants….Jews et al….where wealth is not only created/accumulated but
“worshipped” “reverred” !…a country whose history is but a few hundred years
old…..where greed is the driving force. A dog eat dog society.
Both China and India in hot pursuit !
Sorry my friend I do not share your “nationalistic” sentiments
“Ask not what your country can do for you” etc etc

Now please don’t let me be misunderstood …..USA is possibly the
lesser of the evils of mankind with its “dream” that may become a nightmare.
The American empire replaced the British empire but show me an empire
that last forever….power corrupts and ultimate power corrupts ultimately.

The greed and averice that creates empires “capitalism” will implode
eventually….the world has seen Nazism Fascism Imperialism now
    Capitalism Socialism what’s next…..”realism” !
The greatest achievement of America historically was its written
constitution of “freedom” after the bloody
“Civil war” and its eventual entry into WW2….
Today are Americans really “free from mental slavery”
or is that just a dream replaced by an illusion….
Sorry I do not share your sentimental nationalistic views
of America or any other empires that replaces it.

    Kamtan
