Thank you Mr. Donald J Trump; you are truly a refreshing breeze, which will become even more refreshing, after the complete cleansing of the Democratic SWAMP.
Elsewhere I have likened Donald J. Trump to a ‘water camoodie’ (anaconda). lurking near the edge of the swamp, to snatch its prey and swallow it whole. I have but to look back at his performance during the “Primaries”.
Later I was to ask myself why would the President-elect want to drain the swamp. My answer has been – to expose more prey; and eventually have the entire swamp all to himself. Every action of his has reinforced my opinion.
I grew up with radio; TV was to be my mid-age crisis. I often listen to it with the picture ‘off’. That enables me to concentrate on content, rather than presentation. I did not want to dismiss the President-elect’s Thanksgiving speech out of hand, after looking at his straight gaze, his fixed facial expression; I may as well have been looking at a parking meter. Then I listened to the presentation without the picture.
Not one sentence could I describe as ‘inspiring’.
Inspiring connotes the idea of ‘uplifting’ – from within. Think back to the time when they taught us to recite, with feelings, ” …Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
Be a hero in the strife! …”. To lustily sing, “Onward! Upward! May we ever go!”
It is most unfortunate when we are inspired – basely – to “Lock her up!”; or loot and burn.
