Education has historically played a critical role in the development of Guyana. It has imparted knowledge and skills and has empowered the people to solve everyday problems in society. It has supported capacity building in the plantation economy and has built critical areas of thinking. Education has made Guyana very competitive in its pursuit of economic growth and development.
