Dr. Carol McIntosh is a young lady that is making positive waves in the community. She combines learning with practical work to benefit others and she looks for no rewards. Carol brings to the table a zest for helping those in need and many have responded by expressing their gratitude to her for making a difference in their lives.

In the recent West Indian Day Parade Carol and her group were busy educating the community about health matters and their Globeathon was a tremendous success.

Carol was born in Brooklyn in New York where she received her formal education. She has two older brothers in Eddie and Rudolph and they are both doing well. Her mom is Cynthia and her dad is George and they hail from Carriacou in the Grenadines.  Carriacou is an archipelago off Grenada with a population of 5,000 on thirteen square miles.    Continue reading

News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Tues. Sept. 2, 2014: Is it racist or simply stupid that five shootings in Brooklyn that occurred in the wee hours of Monday morning were automatically linked by white-owned media entities in New York City to the West Indian American Day Carnival?

The carnival, the largest in North America which draws a large percentage of black Caribbean immigrants annually for the past 47 years, kicked off at 11 a.m. yesterday at Schenectady and Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, NY. But shootings that occurred at 3:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m., respectively, were quickly linked to the Carnival. Continue reading
