GUYANA: Politics: Sweeping changes on PNCR’s Central Executive – Elections December 18, 2021

Only three members from the PNCR’s last Central Executive were returned at the election held on Saturday December 18, 2021.

The trio are former GDF Chief of Staff Gary Best who secured the highest number of votes: 618, Parliamentary Chief Whip, Christopher Jones who garnered 586 votes and another former GDF Chief of Staff Edward Collins who notched up 521 votes.

All of the other 11 are new: Amanza Walton Desir – 350, Annette Ferguson –  272,  Dawn Hastings – 484,  Ganesh Mahipaul – 329,  Geeta Chandan Edmond  – 445, Jermaine Figueira – 536, Hazel Pile Lewis – 406, Kirk Fraser – 362, Reyaz Roopnarine – 289, Samuel Sandy – 351 and Troy Garroway – 301.

There is a tie for the 15th seat and a determination is to be made.
