Guyana has commissioned and produced many plans over the years, often at the behest of international organisations and/or in pursuit of funding. Few plans have endured beyond the electoral cycle or survived a change of administration. As we embark of a period of accelerated change, the need for a long-term vision – a cross-sectoral, collaborative, cross-party, consensus-based plan for sustainable and equitable development – is, arguably, even more acute. Strategic infrastructure planning, the extensive process of de-carbonising our economy, of building climate resilience: these are all tasks that will span decades.
.
The Panel:
Dr. Collin Constantine (economist), Lance Hinds (who was involved in updating the NDS) and Dr. Anna Perreira (of the University of Guyana’s GREEN Institute)
Moderator: Stuart Hughes (President, Guyana Association for Professional Engineers).
There will be an opportunity for questions and comments after the presentations.

Moray House Trust
