The glory days of West Indies cricket are but a distant memory.
West Indies vs. Bangladesh at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (29 October 2021):
I managed to catch some of the early-morning match from the opening delivery (in between wake and sleep, considering it was 4: 00 a.m. out here in western Canada) and expected to see some serious fireworks with the ball landing in the stands with regularity.
But, instead, it was an ordeal to endure the lackluster (seemingly disinterested) manner in which the West Indians went about batting. It was like seeing an old rust-bucket, creaky automobile being driven down the street.
Somehow, though, they managed to eke out a narrow win (W.I. 142, Bang. 139) to keep their slim chances alive, but, realistically, it’s only delaying the inevitable.
Alas, I hope they prove me wrong.

This is actually worse than losing, boring is death in professional sport. Wake up Guyana let the losers lose ALONE…we can do better than that!
STOP IT PEOPLE, West Indies are the BEST thing that ever happen to cricket.
They are the most loved team in world cricket. But have fallen off the cliff into the abyss, unfortunately.
