MEDICAL: Vitamin-D is Your PPE [Personal Protective Equipment] against viruses – Video

MEDICAL: Vitamin-D is Your PPE [Personal Protective Equipment]

An interview with Wayne Cezair, a Caribbean man, talking about Vitamin D and its ability to boost our immune systems so that it is able to fight infections like COVID-19. Wayne Cezair is a practitioner in “Natural Medicine”. He is concerned about the mixed messages and the false information that we are getting in regard to COVID-19 and similar viruses.

You may agree or disagree with his analysis of the COVID-19 virus and Vitamin D as a protective measure against it. This website is just giving you alternate information and is not promoting his ideas as being valid.

    Agree to disagree !

The advice “Vitamin-D is Your PPE” belongs into the category “Snake Oil”. Taking Vitamins D will not protect you from getting cover-19.

Only a vaccine might be able to do so, if it turns out to be safe and effective!

    • Jasmine  On 09/08/2020 at 9:25 am

Sorry but I disagree. He’s not saying that it will prevent you from getting Covid-19, he said that it will help your body to deal with the virus by helping to boost your immune system. Flu shot vaccines do not prevent persons from getting the flu because it’s not an exact science. Millions of persons still getting some strain of flu every year even though they take the flu shot. He’s right about the fear mongering and telling people that they’re only saviour is a Covid-19 vaccine.

Jasmine, could you please point me to the double-blinded clinical study that provides proof that Vitamin D boost the immune system? From my own personal anecdotal evidence, eating every morning an apple will also be good for my health.

Regarding vaccines, just keep in mind how many lives were spared thanks to effective vaccines against polio, pocks, tetanus, mumps and many other life-threatening diseases.
There is one remedy to protect yourself from propaganda of the anti-vacciners:

Get yourself vaccinated with safe and effective vaccines!

Agreed… There is no known condition called ‘cover-19’ and therefore no known cure. As for the intent of your message… There’s a virulent virus spreading across the World and it’s IRRATIONAL FEAR. The awesome news is that the cure is both simple and accompanied by great side effects… Turn Off All Mainstream Media and you will be cured. The beneficial side effect of doing so will be to repossess your common sense and ability to think for yourself. Best regards

P.S. Damn auto spell checker…. It should covid-19 (not cover-19).

  • Jasmine  On 09/08/2020 at 11:03 am

Bradnli…..the operative words being safe and effective. Based on your training I don’t expect you to say anything different. You have your opinion and I’m entitled to mine. Not every so called scientific fact is indeed fact. This virus is totally different from the others you mentioned and with the exception of perhaps polio, people still contract the others even after being vaccinated, albeit not as severe, but they still do. The man in the video is simply stating that Vitamin D can help your immune system to fight off a deadly dose of Covid-19 if exposed….not that one would not contract the virus, but simply have a fighting chance of not dying from it. That’s the same case that supporters of a Covid-19 vaccine is stating….where is the scientific fact for that?????

    • David Dee  On 09/08/2020 at 12:49 pm

It’s usually a futile exercise trying to convince people filled with fear of anything, no matter how logical or science – based it may be. Curiously Brandli62 demanded double blind placebo studies to prove the efficacy of Vitamin D yet seems quite blissfully ignorant of the fact that NO vaccine in recent history has ever been subjected to that same double blind placebo studies. Furthermore Brandli62 seems unaware of the numbers of incidents of Sterility, ADHD and death that have been caused by vaccines. Does Brandli62 know that Vaccine manufacturers stated that they would cease releasing Vaccines in the United States if they weren’t provided blanket immunity from legal actions against them due to the damage their Jabs cause. Isn’t it curious how the masses blindly believe what Mainstream Media (funded by Pharmaceutical Industry Advertising revenue) feeds them?

      • brandli62  On 09/08/2020 at 12:56 pm

Sorry David. You are spreading more hog wash and dangerous fake news about vaccines. False claims of sterility after vaccination was the key reason why the polio vaccination campaign stalled in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Muslim areas of Northern Nigeria. Fortunately, there were some level-headed imans how became convinced that vaccination will be good for their communities. As now Africa is free of the wild polio virus, which is good for all African children.

On your advice, I listened to the entire video again. An it’s essentially a mix of some facts but contains lots of hog wash. The basic message that Wayne Cezair is trying to transport is his believe that vitamin D will boost the immune system and protect you from all viral diseases. Vaccinations are just a means of the pharma industry to make tons of money. The interviewer forgot to ask Mr. Cezair whether vitamin D protects against HIV infection and AIDS. If his theory is correct then vitamin D should do the magic. We all know the this is hog wash. There is presently no vaccine against HIV, which tells you that the development of vaccines is difficult and you do not always succeed. Highly effective anti-viral drugs developed by the “evil” pharmaceutical industry is keeping millions of HIV-infected people alive and has turned AIDS into the chronic but manageable disease. I can tell you that I have seen lots of people dying of AIDS in the hospitals of San Francisco and Boston in the late 80ties and early 90ties. Anti-virals against HIV have been game changers and no one in their mind will take vitamin D in place of an effective antiviral HIV drug. These are the facts. Mr. Cezair’s views are largely fantasy.

Evidence-based medicine has lifted humanity from a life expectancy of about 30 years a hundred years ago to one of 75 years and more in 2020! Alternative medicine, such a TCM, has been practiced for thousands of years with no impact on human life expectancy.

    • Jasmine  On 09/08/2020 at 12:12 pm

You cannot compare the lives of persons who lived 100 years ago to now. It’s like comparing oranges and limes. Proper diet and exercise is the number one evidence based medicine to keep one healthy. Drugs are administered to persons who don’t have the advantage of affording a healthy diet and end up getting sick. Sorry Doctor but part of your argument is also Hog Wash.

Make sure you’re the first one in line when the Covid-19 vaccine is rolled out. I have nothing more to say on this matter.

  • David Dee  On 09/08/2020 at 12:28 pm

It’s almost a miracle that you have finally published an article with accompanying video interview that doesn’t pander to Globalist agenda and further the mainstream fear mongering narrative regarding COVID-19. I thank you and pray that all of your readers who aren’t already mentally paralized by irrational fear will have their spirits lifted by the truth. Thank you Cyril B.

  • brandli62  On 09/08/2020 at 12:29 pm

Jasmine, of course you are entitled to your views. I forgot to point that out in an earlier response to your posts. I am just protecting others from following a snake oil preacher. I could go point by point through the interview with Wayne Cezair and point out where his is wrong (most of the times) and where he is right (a few times). However, I simply do not have that time too waste.

Regarding covid-19, the most effective rules are social distancing and the wearing a mask in public when you are close to people, such in shops and public spaces. If you feel covid-like symptoms get tested. A vaccine won’t become available in summer 2021, if at all.

It is easy to turn to supplements if you hear claims about their ability to treat or prevent COVID-19.

However, these assertions are UNFOUNDED and UNTRUE.

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), there’s no evidence to support the use of any supplement to prevent or treat COVID-19.

However, some studies indicate that the following supplements may strengthen your body’s general immune response:

    • Vitamin C. According to a review in over 11,000 people, taking 1,000–2,000 mg of vitamin C per day reduced the duration of colds by 8% in adults and 14% in children. Yet, supplementing did not prevent the cold to begin with.

    • Vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency may increase your chances of getting sick, so supplementing may counteract this effect. Nonetheless, taking Vitamin-D when you already have adequate levels doesn’t seem to provide extra benefits.

    • Zinc. In a review in 575 people with the common cold, supplementing with more than 75 mg of zinc per day reduced the duration of the cold by 33%.

    • Elderberry. One small review found that elderberry could reduce the symptoms of viral upper respiratory infections, but more research is needed.

    • Echinacea. A study in over 700 people found that those who took echinacea recovered from colds slightly more quickly than those who received a placebo or no treatment, but the difference was insignificant.

    • Garlic. A high quality, 12-week study in 146 people found that supplementing with garlic reduced the incidence of the common cold by about 30%. However, more research is needed.

While these supplements demonstrated potential in the studies mentioned above, that doesn’t mean they’re effective against COVID-19.

Furthermore, supplements are prone to mislabeling because they aren’t regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Thus, you should only purchase supplements that have been independently tested by third-party organizations like United States Pharmacopeia (USP), NSF International, and ConsumerLab.

THOUGH SOME SUPPLEMENTS MAY FIGHT VIRAL INFECTIONS, NONE HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO BE EFFECTIVE AGAINST COVID-19. If you decide to supplement, make sure to purchase products that have been tested by a third party.

    The bottom line

You can make several lifestyle and dietary changes today to strengthen your immune system.

These include reducing your sugar intake, staying hydrated, working out regularly, getting adequate sleep, and managing your stress levels.

Although none of these suggestions can prevent COVID-19, they may reinforce your body’s defenses against harmful pathogens.

Thank you, Duncan. I completely agree with your post! No objections,
