Hundreds of Bahamian refugees were ordered off a ferry headed for Ft. Lauderdale, Florida from Freeport in the Bahamas days after Hurricane Dorian pummeled the islands, leaving at least 44 people dead and tens of thousands without homes.
After the refugees boarded the boat, operated by Balearia Caribbean, a crew member announced over the loudspeaker that anyone without a visa would be turned away by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and must disembark immediately.

Even here in Guyana, we are told to respect the wealthy expat class who seeks to oppress us and push us further towards marginalisation.
Wealthy Asian investors and European investors are buying up land here, rising the land values for everyone, including locals.
People with no ties to Guyana, people who didn’t even know Guyana existed, until the oil was discovered, now buying up land in Guyana while we, the locals, have a hard time getting house lot.
No matter what, someone who is White, European and speaks white will always prosper anywhere they go.
While the Caribbean region is being molded to hate on descendants of Latinos, Indian labourers and Chinese labourers, the Whites are paving the way for their retirement paradise. The Whites don’t want an educated population, nor do they like Latinos, Chinese, Portuguese and West Indian people in general.
But they sure ain’t gonna like me, as they are not going to treat me like how my ancestors were treated at Van Pere’s plantation in Berbice!
