The Board of Governors of Queen’s College yesterday launched the institution’s 175th anniversary celebrations at the Pegasus Hotel, Kingston.

This year, much emphasis is being placed on the high academic standards the school has maintained over the years.

Two years ago, the Acting Attorney General asked me to serve as Special Counsel, and he created the Special Counsel’s Office. The appointment order directed the office to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. This included investigating any links or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the Trump campaign.

Dozens of white parents were recently accused of paying millions of dollars  in bribes to get their children into Ivy League universities. Such luxury is not available to African Americans, even if they were so inclined. Elijah Dormeus’ father died when he was 7 and he and his eight siblings were raised by a single mother in Harlem, N.Y., USA TODAY reported.

His student loan debt to attend Morehouse College totaled $100,000. Brandon Manor also owed $100,000 and John Cooper, $98,000. But their loans will be paid off because another rich person saw a different way to use his wealth.      Continue reading →

Border mining areas affected by fuel shortage in Venezuela

 [May 29, 2019  News:]   Several parts of the hinterlands areas are complaining bitterly about a fuel shortage with residents and miners alike yesterday calling for Government to intervene.

The situation appears to be occurring in the Cuyuni, Region Seven, nearer to the Venezuela border, and in areas of Region One.

The situation would be blamed mainly on the problems of supply in Venezuela, from where dealers have been buying.    Continue reading →
