GUYANA SPEAKS – Mother’s Day Family Special – London UK – 31 March 2019

We will be departing from our usual format for the next Guyana SPEAKS on Sunday, 31st March in celebration of Mother’s Day.
Doors will open at the earlier time of 13:30.  Tickets are £5 on the door or can be obtained via eventbrite:
In order to make this a thoroughly enjoyable Mother’s Day event, The Classic is offering a Mother’s Day lunch that includes a choice of Pepper Pot, Curry Chicken and The Classic’s Vegetable Medley amongst other food items – please see attached for price and full menu.  Lunch will be served at 14.00 but is only available if pre-ordered by 8pm on Thursday, 28th March via Tafawa Ntune and/or The Classic.
All seating will be at round tables.  If you don’t wish to order lunch, please still join us and be at The Classic by 14.30 latest.  Everyone is invited to enjoy drinks from the full cash bar.  You are also reminded that you can still pre-order snacks for the post-programme socialising.
Our programme of entertainment starting at 15.00 will be provided by John Agard, Grace Nichols, Alan Cooper, Joyce Trotman, Michelle Asantewa and Tiffany Sweeney.  Please see the attached for their bios.  The floor will be extended to members of the audience who wish to offer tribute to, or recollection of, their mother/mother figure.
The programme will finish at 17.30 but everyone is welcome to stay on for some dancing, socialising, Guyanese snacks and complimentary non-alcoholic drink.  Doors will close at 19.00
