The question not dealt with is what happens after March 21, 90 days after the NCV. Which would be the government?
APNU+AFC are working on the assumption (or with backroom deals and knowing, as with Maduro, the security forces will be on their side) that the Venezuelan crisis will shield them from the world attention…until street protests destabilize Gy. Hope the 60s don’t revisit.

Venezuela would have invaded us long time. Maduro isn’t against us as Guyanese people, and Venezuelans could care less as they view the Indo majority as “alien” to their Catholic beliefs. Hindu temples are not as common in Venezuela, and Maduro would be scratching his head as what to do.

Venezuela, however, is against Exxon-Mobil, and President Granger is a sellout and a stooge for the American oil giant, and he has no option to go against the American empire, unless he likes to end up like Hugo Chavez or Gadaffi.

Dr. Hinds, if the tables were reversed the PPP would be doing the exact same thing. This is what politicians do, no matter where in the world. Sooner or later, there will be new elections and a government will be announced.
