Guyana pushes trade and investment at OIC meeting in Turkey

ISTANBUL, Turkey — Guyana attended the 34th meeting of the Guyanese, which was held last week in Istanbul, Turkey. Representing Guyana at the meeting was its permanent ambassador to the United Nations, Michael Ten-Pow, who promoted the opportunities for trade and investment in his country.

It was the first meeting of the COMCEC that Guyana has attended and is an indication that the government is serious about diversifying its economic partners in order to accelerate sustainable socio-economic development.        Continue reading

Silversands Hotel – Grenada’s First 5-Star Resort Now Open

GRENADA’S FIRST 5-STAR RESORT NOW OPEN

Grenada’s newest addition to the hospitality industry, the luxurious Silversands Hotel officially went into full operation on Saturday, December 1st 2018.

The $120M high-end beach front resort, owned by Egyptian multi-millionaire Naguib Sawiris welcomed its first paying guest signaling the commencement of business operation and what many described as a major boost to the Grenada tourism landscape.

According to Naguib Sawiris, the billionaire Egyptian businessman who has spent the past three years developing the resort—the first to open on the island in a quarter century – “You feel good here.
