And 3.2 million Americans woke up without health insurance. Daughters of the Diaspora – By Dr. Dhanpaul Narine

You see them everywhere. They hold up the sky. They work in different jobs and often under difficult conditions to provide for their families. It doesn’t matter how hard the job is, or how bad the weather might be, these brave women are busy making a contribution to their adopted countries. They are the daughters of the diaspora.

They are to be found in various fields from domestics and babysitters to scientists, from students to transit workers, and from teachers and doctors to professionals in the corporate sector.

Brooklyn, NY: — May 1, 2018 —Medgar Evers College

On a recent visit to New York the path that is continuing efforts to transform Guyana’s premier tertiary education institution the University of Guyana saw the formal establishing of a leadership team of what Dr. Griffith calls Education Resource Ambassadors.  They are patriots and individuals in Guyana and in the Diaspora, irrespective of whether or not they are alumni or former faculty and staff of the university.
