GUYANA: AMERINDIAN HERITAGE MONTH: SEPTEMBER
Poems by Leonard Dabydeen
Amerindian
They
come here
in their boat
me, Arawak
watch from the bushes with bow and arrow.
My Guyana
This
My land
My water
My everything
Europeans tell me it is not mine.
Comments
” ………….then as we came together with other beautiful people in Guiana more lovely people evolved .”
