As a person of African Heritage (with a little Amerindian), who grew up in a very diverse community (MacDoom/Agricola) on the East Bank of Demerara in Guyana, I have been enjoying Phagwah Festivities since my pre-teen years. I am pleased to say that I have gone to the Phagwah Parade in Richmiond Hill, Queens, New York City three times, and also Phagwah in London England. All were very enjoyable.
