COLUMBIA, S.C. – Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have emerged from weeks of campaign chaos as the overwhelming favourites for their parties’ presidential nominations.

Trump won Saturday’s Republican primary in South Carolina by a large margin, his second resounding triumph in a row. Clinton earned a narrower but nonetheless convincing win in the Democratic caucus in Nevada, rebounding from a lopsided loss.

Each of them is now positioned for a potentially decisive run of victories over the next week and a half. Continue reading

Former Presidential Liaison Officer, Kwame Mc Coy, self-confessed killing squadcrum ewing killers a member Shawn Hinds and former Office of the  President employee Jason Abdulla are set to appear in court on Monday February 22, over the May 2010 assault on political activist and columnist Frederick Kissoon.
Police sources confirmed that all three men will face charges for the incident, in which feces was thrown into the columnist’s face in Robb Street.

Housing is a visible manifestation of status. As the population increases so will the demand for adequate housing. In recent years planners and policymakers have come to realize that housing is more than the construction of buildings. It is the hub from which people are able to function, to make alliances and networks, to thrive and to reach their potential. In the developing world low-income housing has carved its way into cities and the slums. But whether it is in the city center or the periphery such housing is a dimension of urban poverty.

In 2007 human history witnessed a unique event: the world’s urban and rural population were equaled. According to the United Nations ‘ one out of every two people is a city-zen.’ In many Third World countries the poor house themselves, far removed from conventional approaches.   Continue reading
