  1. GINA logoEssequibo Outreach by Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo and various Government ministers. Focus on agriculture and small businesses. In agriculture: vandalized pumps to be repaired. Rice industry is important.  Rice Producers Association should be getting fertilizers and other products from aid organization.
  2. Minister of Agriculture Noel Holder stresses need for agriculture to satisfy actual markets to avoid overproduction and waste. Guyana Marketing Corporation to help. 
  3. P.M. Moses NAgamootoo distributes Certificates of Merit to seven persons in Region-2 who have contributed in exemplary ways to their communities.
  4. Small Business: PM Moses Nagamootoo highlights the needs for small business involvement in Government projects since 20% of all projects will be awarded to small businesses. Grants and low interest loans are available from the Low Carbon Development Fund.
  5. Georgetown: Merriman Mall Rehabilitation Project:  There are three sections within the mall, the most important being the one for children. A Christmas tree is featured this year that was designed by students from Queen’s College.
