Dr. Carol McIntosh is a young lady that is making positive waves in the community. She combines learning with practical work to benefit others and she looks for no rewards. Carol brings to the table a zest for helping those in need and many have responded by expressing their gratitude to her for making a difference in their lives.

In the recent West Indian Day Parade Carol and her group were busy educating the community about health matters and their Globeathon was a tremendous success.

Carol was born in Brooklyn in New York where she received her formal education. She has two older brothers in Eddie and Rudolph and they are both doing well. Her mom is Cynthia and her dad is George and they hail from Carriacou in the Grenadines.  Carriacou is an archipelago off Grenada with a population of 5,000 on thirteen square miles.

Carol attended St. John the Baptist School until the fourth grade after which she went to St. Catherine of Genoa and later to Catherine McAuley High School.  She had a liking for math, religion and English. Carol says that she still corresponds with some of her past teachers on social media.

One such teacher is Ms. Horan who has a unique personality that made her lessons interesting. Then there was Sister Margaret, Miss Valenti, Miss Peggy Lake and Ms. Rosemary. Carol did well in High School and it was most fitting that she would choose Cornell University.
