Hopes of a better Guyana could be lost, if… Badal
The government must understand its responsibility to ensure that all criminals are brought to justice. The struggling masses will lose all faith in this administration if it fails to bring white collar criminals to justice.
That is the sentiment expressed by prominent businessman, Robert Badal, the owner of the Pegasus Hotel.

There is a disconnect in the American story.
On May 30th, 1868 the first Memorial Day was celebrated in America. Students from the nation placed flowers at the graves of soldiers and there were observances in various states.
In December 2000, Congress established the White House Commission on The National Monument of Remembrance to help Americans remember and reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day. One of the reasons why Congress took this measure was as a result of a survey that was undertaken by the Commission in 1996. The majority of students surveyed reported that Memorial Day ‘was the day when the pools opened.’ Albert Shanker, that philosopher of education, must be extremely disappointed.
