Joelle Wisler | Posted 08.25.2015 | Women

Joelle WislerI would like to say that I feel bad for them, but I don’t. I do feel sad for the wives and families that will be affected by the douchery of a few idiotic men who couldn’t figure out that they should at least CHANGE THEIR NAMES before going out and soliciting an affair.

Does the Ashley Madison Hack Spell the End for Monogamous Marriage?

Meredith Masony | Posted 08.24.2015 | Media

Meredith MasonyI am concerned that is will mark the end of the institution of marriage as we know it. And to think that right wing politicians and religious evangelists wanted to blame gay marriage for the destruction of traditional American values. Traditional American values in small town USA did that all on their own.

Dear Anna Duggar (and Women Everywhere): It’s Not Your Fault

Aaron Todd | Posted 08.22.2015 | Women

Aaron ToddTo say that Josh Duggar has had a bad year is perhaps an understated assessment, but to talk solely about Josh is to undermine and trivialize the real victims of Mr. Duggar’s choices. You know who has had it worse than Josh? His wife, Anna.

Here’s Why it Makes Perfect Sense That Josh Duggar Cheated

Jenny Block | Posted 08.22.2015 | Gay Voices

Jenny BlockI truly believe that if Josh Duggar was taught the scientific truth about human sexuality (and about evolution, while we’re on the subject), if he had been allowed to date, if he had been taught about the health and joy of masturbation, if he had been respected and supported as a human male, none of this would have happened. None of it. Including the molestation of his sisters.

Infidelity — Looking Beyond the Ashley Madison Scandal

Alexandra Katehakis, M.F.T.The words sex addiction get thrown around a lot when it comes to cheating, especially with all eyes on the recent Ashley Madison hack. Society is still trying to understand the difference between sex addiction, an illness, which inspires a certain amount of compassion, and the moral character defect of dishonesty, which tends to inspire condemnation.

Relationship Lessons Learned From The Ashley Madison Hack

Dr. Danielle Harel and Celeste Hirschman M.A. | Posted 08.20.2015 | Women

Dr. Danielle Harel and Celeste Hirschman M.A.Ashley Madison’s cleverly manipulative tagline “Life is short: Have an Affair” is appealing because it offers a shortcut to getting certain needs met. We agree with Ashley Madison in that “life is short”, which is exactly why honestly communicating your desires is so important.

Some contributor to Daily Kos named SemDem wrote: “Have You Noticed Something Odd About this Ashley Madison Scandal?”

Since the Ashley Madison scandal broke, I have noticed a distinct lack of condemnation from you right-wing Christians.

Where are all the YouTube hate videos against the subscribers practicing adultery?

Where are the droves of protestors picketing AshleyMadison.com like they do Planned Parenthood?

It’s pretty clear where Jesus stands with cheating on your spouse. In case you missed the Commandment of “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife”, Jesus laid it out:

In Mathew 5:27-30 he said if you even look at another woman with desire, then cut out your eye because it’s better to “lose one of your members than to have your whole body go to hell”.

So you will have to excuse me when I roll my eyes over your next meltdown.

Where is the indignant condemnation now?

Where is your moral outrage against these sinners?

You’ll rally like crazy against things not even in the Bible, but ignore and stay silent about Ashley Madison.

I guess it’s hard to condemn something that you probably have an account with.
