Cyril, thanks for sharing this TED video: a powerful story of forgiveness and redemption that brought me to tears.
The presenter raised two questions. The first question – Where are you from? – brought to mind our engage on another blog post about our identity as Guyanese. For Guyanese-Americans of East Indian ancestry this question may be highly loaded.
The second question – How can we build a more merciful country? – demands a lot from us who are immigrants to America, oftentimes viewed in a negative manner for several reasons, known and unknown to us.
Correction: “engage” should read “exchange.”
