Netanyahu Undermines the President, Ignores the US Constitution and Urges US Into War

House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi was clearly furious in the wake of yesterday’s speech by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (Bibi). The Washington Post reported:

In a statement, Pelosi said she was “near tears” throughout the speech, “saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States . . . and saddened by the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran and our broader commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation.”

Netanyahu’s speech was made before a special session of Congress on Tuesday. Remember that Netanyahu violated protocol by accepting a prearranged invitation from House Speaker John Boehner (normally the Senate jointly issues such an invite – and the president is consulted) to address the session – which many Democrats refused to attend.

Commentators have offered several reasons for why Netanyahu would make the unprecedented remarks he tossed into his speech – including speculation that he “was betting the bank” that he could steer US politics and foreign policy, at the cost of alienating the president. Netanyahu was also taking the risk of choosing to side with Republicans as a permanent party allied with Israel, along with an additional pool of Democrats who follow the directives of The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Netanyahu’s motivations – beyond an ego that is larger than a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day helium-balloon turkey – for his swaggering swoop into the center of US constitutional political decision-making potentially include, but aren’t limited to, the following possibilities:   [Read more]

The likely option is war, if there is no deal with Iran. It would be interesting to see the cooperation he gets from Obama in a war effort. Or he think Obama has no choice.

Israel will NOT declare war on Iran without the permission of the USA. The Prime Minister of Israel is misbehaving much like your child did at some point in their lives, in public – they embarrassed you – Then what did you do about it, in public? Tell them “Wait ’til we get home!” Only the electorate in Israel will save Bibi’s sorry ass.

“Israel will NOT declare war on Iran without the permission of the USA”.

You have it a bit in reverse. Israeli leaders have already vowed to attack Iran if they think that country is about to make the bomb. If they do the US has no choice but to join. The Jewish financed Congress will see that it does.

I almost want to ignore this one – well, almost – but knowing what a clown prince Netanyahu is, I am inclined to believe what I read, last year Netanyahu ordered his military to draw up plans to attack Iran and the defiant military notified the USA.

You may Google the foregoing and find out the rest. Answer: You are wrong – It is NOT going to happen …. the consequences are SEVERE ….

For one thing listen to the President’s secretary daily press briefings for up to date reliable information, not Google. The Israeli and US military are in agreement on that sanctions alone cannot stop Iran and military action will only delay the building of a nuclear bomb by at most an estimate of 4 years.

The informed know that in a war with Iran we woud have to bomb and probably invade and own them, with consequences too disturbing to contemplate. Worst things have happened however, like the atomic bombing of Japan. The US had even contemplated using a low powered atomic bomb on North Vietnam to stop that war. The US public is becoming more favorably disposed to war as seen with ISIS and Syria. With a Republican President and Congress the possibility of war is much more likely if a reasonable deal with Iran is not forthcoming.

Many are not aware that the US has a powerful military production compex with Republican influence, which profit tremendously during war times and employ millions. You have to be much more informed of my country to decide what is, or is not possible.
