‘Guyana: Beyond Beautiful’ – Imaging Interior Travels – video

Published on Jul 12, 2012 by Errol Ross Brewster

Imaging Interior Travels is a view through the lens of artist, photographer and film maker Errol Ross Brewster as he travels, over the years, through the interior regions of Guyana. It’s structure is not that of a touristic promotion, a traditional documentary nor a travelogue.

Foregoing authoritarian narration, it is a picture poem employing, for greater flexibility of interpretation, the scene sounds complimented by composed sound works which reflect the the sense memories from the experience of those travels. They range from excitement through exhilaration to anxious apprehension. Hopefully, viewers will project their own emotional responses to the tales told by these images of ‘Guyana – Beyond Beautiful’.
