Observed changes in the climate system
“Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, and since the 1950s, many of the observed changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia. The atmosphere and ocean have warmed, the amounts of snow and ice have diminished, and sea level has risen.”
~ Climate Change 2014: Synthesis Report – Summary for Policymakers
U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
Comments
“… the amounts of snow and ice have diminished …” – don’t tell that to the people back east who are feeling the effects of the Siberian Express this week. Even the Niagara Falls is frozen over.

If you are cramped for time, I highly recommend the video in the link. Our own Dr. Leonard Nurse of University of the West Indies is in there. I like the closing comments of the Chair in the video: First they ignore you; then they laugh at you; then they fight you; then you win! – Mahatma Gandhi
