“EMANCIPATION FESTIVAL 2014”, By ACDA 

Georgetown, Guyana  – August 1, 2014

On August 1st. 1834 Africans won their freedom.

This August 1st, all roads lead to the National Park, Georgetown,  as the

 African Cultural & Development Association (ACDA)

Invites you to come and celebrate at Guyana’s biggest
cultural festival of the year  “EMANCIPATION FESTIVAL 2014”,

See performances by Kwor Te from Suriname with their amazing fire  dances and
dazzling broken glass walking routine; the spectacular Batota Yetu with
their Angolan Congolese dance troupe, bring the children to see Ms Megan
Piphus  and her amazing puppets, come and celebrate with popular Guyanese
acts from all across the country and partake in our newest
attraction “Centre Stage” …enjoy a fun filled family day of African
foods, fashion displays, children center, folk games, drumming, dance etc
as we remember our past, celebrate our broken chains and work towards our
golden dreams ….Harambe..Let’s All pull together.
