Police continues special focus in Alboystown areas

According to the Police the focus is not only in the area of crime prevention and detection, but empowering youths to develop skills in order to make proper decisions.

A Division Commander Clifton Hicken said Albouystown will be used as a pilot project.

Over the coming weeks, plans are in the pipeline to reform this area into a basketball, volleyball court and football playing area. The lawmen are partnering with a number of faith base organisations within the community and corporate Guyana to restore the image of the community.

Over the weekend the police presented kits, garbage bins and food items to aids the efforts of Impact Albouystown.

It was acting Commissioner of Police Seelall Persaud who pleaded with members of the community who are engage in illegal actives to put down their weapons.

    This is good for the youths in Albouystown and Guyana in general. I really hope that youths take this opportunity to make themselves into skilled workers and raise the level of living there. Let us be proud of you, GUYS.
