NSA whistle-blower revealed: 29-year-old former CIA staffer says he felt compelled to leak

Another bombshell dropped on Saturday in the ongoing revelations surrounding the federal government’s PRISM surveillance program: the man who leaked the top-secret documents about the program came forward and revealed his identity — he is Edward Snowden, a 29-year-old former technical assistant with the CIA. Snowden said in an interview with the Guardian that he knows he will be charged with a crime for his actions, and expects he may “never see home again,” but that he felt compelled to leak information about the National Security Agency’s surveillance activity.

Snowden said that there wasn’t one specific moment where he decided that he was going to reveal top-secret information (if you’re just coming to this story, check out our omnibus post about what we know so far, which is being updated regularly). HI Guys:

If Osama Bin Laden were alive today, he would have been a very happy man to hear this news. With one daring incident of Religious Stupidity, he managed to find 19 Muslim Martyrs willing to sacrifice their lives to slam dunk the twin towers, and scare the living shit out of the most powerful nation on this planet. He has has done very little else, and we now have USA spying on its own people, spending trillions of dollars on dumb ass Security Systems at Airports and elsewhere with virtually little or benefit to the masses, while filling the pockets of the Security Contractors with Profits.

That Towel Head bastard must be laughing in his grave, when he finds out that America has now become Communist Russia, spying on its own citizens in a Capitalist state. What a frigging joke that is.

    Diablo Greg.

What Snowden describes of the NSA surveillance machine sounds very much like the machine depicted in the CBS TV series, “Person of Interest.”
