I have previously been very impressed with Dr. Carson’s personal story. However, i find the description of this speech as “amazing” to be quite untrue. It was a very partisan and political speech at an occasion that called for unity and celebration of prayer. Frankly, I will now see Dr. Carson in a different light.

I must of missed something in translation. He addressed what he thought was concerns of his and others, as well as the new tendency political correctness than stifles thought we do not like and demand people be fire and apologize to the offended. Some of his solutions may be impractical but only partisan to those who do not like anyone else ideas. You are the one who is partisan and political.

I agree with Augustus, perhaps, somebody missed the meaning of the analogy of the “piebald” eagle, about the left wing and the right wing. But, if I may add, Dr. Ben Carson is right when he said that it is hard to speak to a roomful of guests and not offend someone. I am pissed that he said “very concerting” when – as an educated man – he should have said “very disconcerting”.

Dr. Carson has shifted the discussion from being centrally focused on segments of the population where race is the dominant theme, whether stated or implied. He has done this by explicitly stating that the issues we face are human issues and not specifically attached to one race. Rather, Dr.Carson emphasizes merit as the driving force for equality.

Dr.Carson has cleared the path for merit to be the focus. Obama’s attempt at being post racial failed, despite receiving a greater percentage of the majority voting population, when he became boxed into group politics driven by the politically correct crowd and their moving agendas of pandering to their constituencies. Pandering will only satisfy the political shylocks and race baters. The latter will continue to exploit the lesser informed who seek leadership from the so-called leaders in the community.

We can no longer be fixated with political correctness politics that is soaked in the blanket of race, while relying on the latter as the crutch of expediency to rationalize shortcomings. It appears that some elements of our population are thin skinned when constructivce criticism becomes an irritant as the truth is revealed.

A great citizen has spoken about the future of America with or without an education. He has spoken of the greatness of the Parables that Jesus taught the world through the Bible. He wondered how slavery had a system and how that system disenfranchised Americans of one ethnicity.
He wondered of today’s America that is fighting the wars and securing victories for other nations at a great cost to the Americans of the 21 st Century. He wondered at America’s hugh Indebtedness that runs into Trillions of $US and asks who cares. Life continues and the means of solving Americans problems are well within the reaches of the Americans for “WE ARE AN INTELLIGENT PEOPLE” This speech was made at a Fund Raising Program for the Democratic Party and it was a reminder of the Americans of their Roots and of the Days when Education was their only choice and hope for every American citizen. He reminded the country of the benefits of being one strong and united America if only we can solve our own Problems. His speech was well recieved judging from the ovation he got.
