School Answering Machine in Australia – funny!

This is the message that the Maroochydore High School, Queensland, Australia staff voted unanimously to record on their school’s telephone answering machine.  This is an actual telephone message for the school. Surprising but true …

This came about because they implemented a policy requiring students as well as their parents to be responsible for their absences and missing homework.   The school and teachers were being sued by parents who wanted their children’s failing grades changed to passing grades, even though their children were absent 15-30 times during the semester and did not complete enough school work to pass their classes.

Awesome video, but on a serious note.
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
and though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love, but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward, nor tarries with yesterday.
Our age may be also defined by historians as the age of lack of responsibility. We are residents of a world that refuses to take any responsibility. “The devil made me do it. My spouse made me do it. It’s my boss’s fault.” On and on it goes; where it stops, no one knows.
The willingness to accept responsibility for one’s own life is the source from which self-respect springs.

This is great!11 We all need to stop blaming others for our own children’s misbehavior or our own lack of participation in their education and taking responsibility..

Every world citizen has that right to choose, and in so doing, he chooses not for others but for his or her own self knowing fully well that the choices he or she makes can influence others but cannot make them accept the same. And so we as humans go around the world in circles using our imagination as the tool box of our mind to mend, repair or retrieve a thought so rare. In this dark age who wants to be given responsibilities for anything and moreso children. This is the dark age when men and women everywhere shall abdicate reasonable behaviour and blame others including God!
