Please, let us get the name of this amazing prodigy correctly “BOTLHALE” … is her name!!! “BOTLHALE”

  • Dennis Ray LaBorde  On 02/14/2013 at 11:47 am

I’ve got to admit, I sat through her performances with tears running, involuntarily, and unashamedly, down my cheeks. Clyde is absolutely correct, BOTLHALE is a name I shall never forget (BOT (silent L) HA – LÉ). What a girl, what an inspiration for ALL the youth of today ALL over the world – not only SA. Our own “Land of Hope and Glory” especially springs to mind.

BOTLHALE is indeed a beautiful, charismatic and gifted child. As a poet, she is extraordinarily talented.I dabble in poetry writing, but I’m humbled by BOTLHALE’s powerful words and performance. I’m certain that BOTLHALE will continue to be dominant as a protaganist on the stage of poetry and life….not only in South Africa but worldwide.
Congratulations BOTLHALE, you are indeed an inspiration to all of us….children and adults.

Please please commentators …refrain from the God thing in comments
We all accept an explanation that God inspires but to “praise” God for her
Talented performance is a bit OTT (over the top) ….BOTLHALE is a very
talented child…the child of caring and loving parents…that’s what will
influence her in her lifetime…if that includes the belief in a God the choice
will be hers…que Sera Sera…am sure her family and friends will also influence
her in the decisions she will have to make.

Sorry if my comments offend but it was necessary.

Imagine turning on your computer at work and going through your daily ritual of checking work emails. After weeding out the unimportant stuff, you click on a link. After clicking the link, the most beautiful and angelic face appears. Wow! Yes, South Africa has talent. I’ve seen so many of these shows; however, I must say that Botlahle wowed me. Tears hung on the fringes of my eyelids as I held my breath. Never have I witnessed such a powerful performance in one so young. I, too, must give the Almighty Creator (God to those of you who wonder about such things) for her genuine talent. Believe me when I say that all talent is a gift from Him. In and through Him, Botlahle is destined for greater heights.

I’m from Guyana; visited S. Africa for a week in 2000, & something has been pulling me to go back there; now I know – it’s Botlhale, the most recent of my ‘adopted’ grandchildren – with beauty, intelligence, charisma, talent, and a spark of the divine will that lies dormant in so many of us – the will to shine, the fearlessness to expose, and and acknowledge, the child inside each of us. Shine on, little lady!!

Botlahle, you are such a marvelous example of one who is fearfully and wonderfully made by our God. I pray that God continues to use your gifts and talents to minister to the world. You are soul stirring! I am seeing these clips for the 1st time today. Father Mandela passed this past Thursday. Listening to your tribute to him brought tears of joy to my eyes. I thank God for blessing me to be able to be blessed by your breath taking talents!
