Chris Brown for Boxing Day Mega Concert in Guyana

Hits and Jams confirms Chris Brown for Boxing Day Mega Concert

The Hits and Jams Entertainment Group is stepping up the quality of its résumé as the group announces that A-list, American R&B artiste, Chris Brown, will be in Guyana for the Unforgettable 2 Mega Concert on Boxing Night, December 26th  at the National Stadium. The Tourism Ministry and the Guyana Tourism Authority, are both partnering with Hits and Jams, to offer packages to visitors and persons who may want to fly into Guyana for the concert.

Chris Brown is one of the biggest names in show business right now and is enjoying major success in the music industry. He has won a number of major awards, but did hit a bump in the road of his career. He faced assault charges for hitting his girlfriend at the time, singer, Rihanna. That was a few years ago. The two are seeing each other again. Questioned about whether Chris Brown’s indiscretions could serve as a turn off, both the promoter and the Minister said, the young singer has turned that page in his life and should not be tied down to that part of his life only.

The contract with Chris Brown has already been signed and is said to be a hefty sum. That contract prohibits the local promoters from revealing publicly how much it costs to bring the artiste here. He is expected to travel with a 50 person entourage. He is well known for hits like ‘Forever’, ‘With You’ and the recent chart topper ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’.

Where is this money coming from to pay the likes of Chris Brown?

Physical abuse to women is a part of Guyana culture. The Guyana authorities turn the other way when violence to women occurs. As a matter of fact they themselves beat their women. Investing in Chris Brown as a cultural exchange is a slap in the Guyanese women face. Guyanese women wake up. This is the 21st century.
