AFC, Government continue to trade blame over Agricola unrest
The Government wants to exploit racism and is trying to divert attention from the issues of corruption that are taking place, that’s the view of the Alliance for Change.
The Government has been blaming the AFC for organizing the unrest at Agricola, where a number of people were reportedly robbed by elements in the community.
At a press conference today, AFC leader, Khemraj Ramjattan, said, that the party was not involved and strongly condemned the action. AFC Vice Chairman, Moses Nagamootoo, believes that the Government is trying to use violence to stir up hatred.
And Nagamootoo did not take kindly to statements made by the Agriculture Minister, Dr. Leslie Ramsammy on the issue of corruption. He said, that Dr. Ramsammy lacks the moral authority to speak on corruption.
The Government is restarting a series of corruption debates on the state owned NCN. Nagamootoo wants the Government to go after those who are involved in the multi-million dollar fraud at the same NCN.

The AFC party has two hipocrits at the helm of the party-Ramjattan and Nagamootoo. These two are responsible all the protestings in Guyana and when they see things not going their way, resort to accusing the Govt for the dirty work they carried out. What a disgrace for these ninkanpoops to utter such nonsense about the Govt.when it is quite known by all Guyanese they were the architect of all the problems in Linden and Agricola. I hope when the Col bring out their report, these two with others from the Apnu will be held accountable. So far the opposition parties are really barefaced and do not care about progressing the Guyana but instead they want to pull it down and destablise the Government. This will never happen as the Guyanese are not stupid. Those who are responsible in giving AFC so many seats instead of the Govt should be ashamed. These people have let Guyana down.
