E. R. Braithwaite for Inter-Guianas culture fest

Guyanese author E. R Braithwaite, of “To Sir, With Love” fame, is to be the Patron of the second Inter-Guiana Cultural Festival to be held here later this month.
This was announced by Minister of Culture Dr. Frank Anthony on Wednesday at a news conference called to update the media on preparations for the August 23 – 27 event.
“We wanted to give this second festival an added Guyanese signature and to do so we’re going to have a very special patron … many of you would have known of ER Braithwaite … we’ve invited him and he’s going to be coming to Guyana and would be the Patron of the second Inter-Guiana Cultural Festival,” the minister said.
