WHAT CAN G10,000 PER MONTH PURCHASE?

Well .. $10,000 Guyana dollars is equal to about 50US dollars. Most local food is fairly inexpensive but this pension is definitely inadequate if you have no other income.

To the above persons who are critics of the $10,000 per pesioner. May I point out that this amount is not a pension per sey but pocket money which can go a far way to help in addition with their NIS and work pensions. Those who do not want it do not have to collect. It appears that those persons never worked to get a pension from NIS or other Buisness for reasons only known to themselves. Who is to be blamed for this – the Government!

The old age pension of $10,000 is very good when we think that means test was the norm. Thanks to the Govt and APNU. The majority of pensioners are more than pleased.
