MY GUYANA EL DORADO

Every citizen, every denizen born of woman, is sovereign to a country.  My Guyana El Dorado, in rum and in nature, has been diluted in more ways than one.  The Guyanese people have stopped eating ‘hand-to-mouth and have devolved into eating ‘battie-to mouth.’  As soon as the fowl lay the egg, they drop it and cook it.  As soon as Western Union delivers the money order, they start spending.  They do not see a future ahead.      Continue reading
