Every citizen, every denizen born of woman, is sovereign to a country. My Guyana El Dorado, in rum and in nature, has been diluted in more ways than one. The Guyanese people have stopped eating ‘hand-to-mouth and have devolved into eating ‘battie-to mouth.’ As soon as the fowl lay the egg, they drop it and cook it. Big Lie One: If you give tax cuts to the rich and to the corporations, everybody will benefit and it will all trickle down. Big Lie Two: If you shrink government, you create more jobs. Big Lie Three: Taxes on the rich hurt the economy. Big Lie Four: If you get jobs back the debt shrinks as a proportion of the national economy. It becomes more and more manageable.
